Join Us for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Musical Adventure in Kenya!

Oh my goodness the cat is out of the bag and we are thrilled to offer the opportunity to take part in the prestigious International Mziki Gospel Festival in Kenya, running from 22 July to 1 August 2026. This extraordinary trip will be hosted by Music and Travel on behalf of the festival organisers, Mziki Tours. Please note that all bookings and payments will be handled directly by the Mziki Gospel Festival team. Full information a video and details can be found below.

The Festival welcomes singers from around the world to share in a rich exchange of music and culture. While the event has a gospel theme, you do not need to be religious to take part. We have been assured that secular songs are very welcome, and many participants will not be Christian — the focus is on the joy of music and international connection.

As well as unforgettable musical experiences, the trip includes visits to Nairobi, Nakuru, and the famous Maasai Mara and Tsavo National Parks, with the option to extend your stay with an incredible safari adventure or a visit to Kenya’s stunning coastline. This is a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of Africa, support local musicians, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

HOW TO BOOK

How It Works

We are excited about the opportunity to offer you this incredible trip with Mziki Tours, as a choir, and invite you to register your interest as soon as possible. In order for us to get good group rates for our flights I propose we do both the fastival and the optional trip afterwards as a group.

Initial Commitment: At this stage, we are asking for expressions of interest only. We need a minimum number of participants to confirm the trip. If you would like to be part of this unforgettable experience, please let us know as soon as possible by registering your commitment to book. No payment is required at this point.

We estimate that the total cost of this adventure £2800-£3000 per person sharing a twin room, as a complete package, including the items stated above which is all accommodation, activities, food and transportation within Kenya, inclusive of the cost of our flights as a group booking. (TBA) Any transportation to airports in the UK we may be able to arrange at an extra cost. A single room option is available at a supplement of £600 (700 Euros)

Confirmation and Next Steps: Once we reach the required numbers and confirm that we are going ahead as a choir, you will be sent a booking form from the International Mziki Gospel Festival team (Mziki Tours).

Once we know the trip is going ahead Helen will seek out a great group rate booking for our flights and you will be sent a link to pay for your flight. We estimate costs to be between £700-£1000 return, for the flight. Departure point TBC

Terms and Conditions

We are delighted to be hosting and endorsing this trip as a choir; however, please note that we are not responsible for any financial transactions or arrangements related to this booking.
All monies for the International Mziki Gospel Festival will be handled directly by Mziki Tours. By completing the booking form and submitting payment, you will be entering into a direct agreement with Mziki Tours, and will be subject to their own Terms and Conditions, which can be provided upon request.
We strongly recommend that you carefully review Mziki Tours’ terms, including their policies on cancellation, refunds, and insurance, before making any payment.
We will be working with a trusted group travel company to organise flights. This will be coordinated later in the process, and Helen will provide all relevant information and guidance when the time comes.
Please do not book your flights independently until we have confirmed group flight arrangements, to ensure that all choir members can travel together where possible.
